Fire Janet Napolitano. Fire her today.

“The system worked.”  That was not out of context.  See the link below for the whole context.  She was trying to downplay the security breach and when she got nailed for it she spun.  So that’s two spins, if you will.  She can’t call a spade a spade.

It continued to deteriorate on Sunday when she was pilloried for saying “the system worked” on CNN — even though Robert Gibbs said the same. — Robert Gibbs isn’t the person in charge of our homeland security.  Napolitano is.  And just because others are saying the same stupid shit doesn’t make any less egregious on Napolitano’s part.

“No excuses, but I was a little focused on what we were doing operationally,” she said.  – I thought she said no excuses.  This woman can’t even spin effectively.

“I think we do a disservice if we tell people there are 100 percent guarantees. I think we tell them we’re doing everything we can to reduce risk. I think we tell people that they are also part of the system. I mean, the passengers on this plane were a line of defense, the flight crew were a line of defense. So everybody has a shared responsibility here.” — Janet, I don’t need you to set my expectations.  Just do your job.  And don’t tell me that we have a shared responsibility.  JUST DO YOUR JOB.

“…one of the things that may come out of this awful day is perhaps a renewed sense of urgency,” — Dammit, Janet.  It’s your job NOT to lose that sense of urgency.  What do you do all day?  Actually, you’re right.  We have lost our sense of urgency.  And the first step in getting it back is to FIRE YOUR WORTHLESS ASS.

Does anything keep her up at night? Her voice got lower and more serious. “This one has,” she said, “because I want to know how this individual got on this plane with this material. I want to know so we can figure out what we should be doing to defeat that.”  – Janet, Janet, Janet.  The problem is that you’re just now losing sleep.  You not sleep well every night.  And if you are, then YOU’RE NOT DOING YOUR JOB.

Mr. Obama…she obviously doesn’t get it.  Replace her with somebody who does.  Do it before the next jihadist has a clue.

Vick a captain?

Mike Vick is a captain for today’s Eagles/Falcons game, and he led the Eagles onto the Georgia Dome field. Right. Because he’s doing so much for Philly these days. And because he did so much for Atlanta. And because his return to Atlanta is such a monster story. What a joke. The entitlement syndrome grows.

Tebow’s Promise

Tim Tebow may be the best collegiate player ever. And he seems like an outstanding young man. But enough with the praise on The Promise. His near-crying post-loss “promise” last year is nothing but Tebow being a poor loser. As if all of his leadership skills rests solely on a winning outcome, not effort. It was a slap in the face to the Ole Miss Rebels who beat them. I didn’t know whether to write “them” or “him.” Get it? For that reason alone I’m pulling for Bama. I want to see how this outstanding young man acts in another loss.
